The DYCLAM+ Consortium
The Erasmus Mundus Master Course is implemented by a consortium of at least three higher education institutions from three different countries, at least two of which are program countries.
It is based on a joint curriculum, common administrative and financial management procedures, and a common service offer to all students.
As far as DYCLAM+ is concerned, the study program involves a compulsory period of mobility in at least three countries of the Consortium, at least one of which must be a program country and different from the student's country of residence. In this regard, it is recalled that students from partner countries who have carried out their main activity (studies, work, etc.) for more than 12 months in total during the last five years in one of the program countries will be considered as candidates from the program countries according to the 12-month rule.
Mobility cannot be replaced by "distance learning", otherwise the grant for mobility will be withdrawn.
DYCLAM+ brings together a consortium of 4 partner universities to provide pedagogical training. These 4 European higher education institutions are full partners of this training: the Jean Monnet University of Saint-Etienne (in Saint-Etienne, France), the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (in Maçao, Portugal), https://www.ubbcluj.ro/ro/ the Babes Bolyai University of Cluj (in Cluj-Napoca, Romania) and the Federico II University of Naples (in Naples, Italy).
JEAN MONNET UNIVERSITY OF SAINT-ETIENNE – France
The Jean Monnet University (UJM), founded in 1969, is one of the 20 French multidisciplinary universities (Health, Law, Economics, Management, Arts, Letters, Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences, Sciences and Technologies, a TELECOM engineering school, 2 IUT). It has more than 22,000 students (including 16% foreign students of 121 nationalities) and 1,500 staff. Since 2007, it has been a member of the Lyon University Community, which includes more than 129,000 students and 1,500 researchers.
The UJM is the pilot of the University Pole of St Etienne (10 institutions). It has 34 research teams, including 18 UMRs (including EVS ISTHME classified A+), 16 CNRS, 1 INSERM/CNRS. It has 3 poles of excellence: Health, Optics and HERITAGE. The latter is located in Firminy, a UNESCO site, in the listed monument of the Le Corbusier housing unit. Very involved in training and research on heritage issues, UJM created in 2014 an International Training Pole department in heritage and cultural landscapes. It delivers a Master History, Civilization and Heritage since 2002, labeled IDEX in 2018 and coordinates EMJMD since 2007 (MACLands then DYCLAM), MICS, a Jean Monnet module (Eumétis, 2015-2018) and a strategic partnership (ProPEACE, 2016-2019). This Heritage Pole brings together internationally recognized researchers and professionals in cultural heritage. Prof. Belot (JEAN MONNET EUROPEAN CHAIR), a specialist in monumental heritage and European geopolitics, was recruited in September 2017 to lead and give new impetus to this team of 147 contributors who take turns training future professionals and creating a link between the heritage professions and the academic world. UJM coordinates the Master's degree.
THE POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE OF TOMAR – MACAO – Portugal
With nearly 3000 students, the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (IPT) has been a landmark among higher education institutions for 30 years. With several degrees and Master courses (including GIS applied to land management), IPT offers a wide range of training areas. Currently, all IPT degrees are adapted to the Bologna model. In addition, since 2004, the institute has been part of the Erasmus Mundus Consortium in Quaternary and Prehistory, and has also participated in the Maclands II and Dyclam Masters. Internationalization has been a strong bet of the IPT, in particular in the cultural field as shown by the 15 projects of Culture 2000 (4 coordinated by IPT), most of them related to heritage management and integrated territorial management, and several intensive programs (1 coordinated by IPT: Global Quality Management of Heritage), as well as the strategic partnership Apheleia (coordinated by IPT).
The IPT specializes in Integrated Territorial Management (ITM). The mission of IPT research is to promote environmental conservation and sustainable resource management as a means to generate economic development, equity, social and human well-being. Within DYCLAM+, IPT will host students in the 2nd semester.
